Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church, 1102 S. 21st St. Donations such as winter clothes, paper goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, small appliances and household items are being collected for hurricane survivors living in the area. Call 475-1090 for more.

Skorman's Outreach Operations, accepting donations for survivors who are relocating to the Springs. Donations needed include: vehicles in good condition, insurance and mechanic services. Volunteers needed for the Hurricane Assistance Center and the Adopt-A-Family program. Call 482-9900 and ask for Skorman Outreach for more.

Springs Village Care Center, 110 W. Van Buren St., 475-8686. Springs Village Care Center will match cash donations for Hurricane Katrina survivors. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Small non-perishable items will also be accepted.

Moveon.org, has created an emergency housing drive for hurricane survivors. Visit hurricanehousing.org to post an offer or view the offers.

Planned Parenthood, free birth control and reproductive health care services for hurricane victims. Call 800/230-PLAN or visit pprm.org for more.

The Salvation Army, offering free vouchers to evacuees for furniture and home furnishings. Call 884-1049 or visit tsacs.org for more.

Pikes Peak Library District, featuring a comprehensive list of Hurricane Katrina disaster relief resources. Click on the link at ppld.org for information about donation and volunteer opportunities and more.

Care and Share Food Bank, collecting bottled water, granola and energy bars, beef jerky, canned meals, baby formula and diapers needed in case-quantities to be sent to the Gulf Coast. Other items donated will be given to survivors arriving in our area and to replenish local food resources. Visit careandshare.org or call 528-1247 for more.

The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers to help with relief efforts in Denver. Transportation is available. Volunteers will help feed approximately 1,000 storm survivors and are requested to work a 24-hour shift. Call 636-5266 or visit tsacs.org for more.

Pikes Peak Workforce Center, is offering the opportunity for local business owners and managers who may want to offer jobs to Hurricane Katrina evacuees to list their jobs by calling 667-3839 or 667-3751. Jobs may be designed for evacuees only and can be full-time, part-time or temp positions. Visit ppwfc.org for more.
