Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church, 1102 S. 21st St. Donations such as winter clothes, paper goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, small appliances and household items are being collected for hurricane survivors living in the area. Call 475-1090 for more.

Skorman's Outreach Operations, accepting frequent-flyer mile donations, baby items, gift certificates for emergency supplies and volunteers. Call 482-9900 from Mon.-Thurs., 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or call 720/219-4645 after hours.

Pikes Peak Library District, featuring a comprehensive list of Hurricane Katrina disaster relief resources. Click on the link at ppld.org for information about donation and volunteer opportunities and more.

Care and Share Food Bank, collecting bottled water, granola and energy bars, beef jerky, canned meals, baby formula and diapers needed in case-quantities to be sent to the Gulf Coast. Other items donated will be given to survivors arriving in our area and to replenish local food resources. Visit careandshare.org or call 528-1247 for more.
