Indy's Last-Minute Gift Guide

When all else fails, we appeal to the senses.

Music. Movies. Edibles. Even the tactile pleasures of books (or touch-screens). They're all crutches for those of us who stumble blindly through shopping season, and you'll find suggestions from each of those realms within this Last-Minute Gift Guide.

As explained in the "related stories" below, written by Kirsten Akens, Bill Forman and Louis Fowler, there are a lot of good, easily accessible, totally giftable items around here, whether your recipient is into British sci-fi or Belle & Sebastian. Or cupcakes. And, really, who's not into cupcakes?

So no matter how behind in your shopping you believe you are, rest assured: It's all going to be fine. If you're one to worry, take a deep breath. If you're not one to worry, take a deep breath anyway. (It's good for you.) And take time, yourself, to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the season.
