IQ: If they build it, we will come

The city of Colorado Springs will soon be the owner of one of many riverwalks built in cities around the country when Confluence Park materializes at the intersection of Monument and Fountain creeks. Equipped with a restaurant, amphitheater and other fun goodies, the park should prove to be a large attraction for residents and visitors alike in the Springs. Planning is still underway, but the city hopes to begin construction one year from this summer. [p]

What do you want to see in Confluence Park? As long as I can jog along it, I'm OK.

How often would you actually go hang out in Confluence Park? I jog every day, so if I go jog by there, that's every day.

What's the most they should spend on a kayak run? I have no idea. I guess the issue for me is, should they even have a kayak run?

How clean is the water in the creek? I guess it's general run-off water. It's just as clean or dirty as anything it runs off of.

How much do you think they should spend to build the park? If they're gonna do it, enough to make it beautiful.

What do you want to see in Confluence Park? Something that can get a lot of use out of everybody, obviously.

Who should be the first person to perform in the amphitheater? I would say the Beastie Boys.

How often would you actually go hang out in Confluence Park? If it was worth going to, probably very often.

How clean is the water in the creek? I don't know. I wouldn't trust it.

How much do you think they should spend to build the park? To make it worthwhile, they should go all-out if they want it to be used.

What do you want to see in Confluence Park? Well, I didn't even know there was a park going up, but if you say there's water going through it, that sounds good.

Who should be the first person to perform in the amphitheater? Well, they could bring a lot of people: the Eagles, Pink Floyd.

How often would you actually go hang out in Confluence Park? I'd take my kids down there a couple times a week.

How clean is the water in the creek? From what I hear, it's pretty bad.
