IQ: Legislature 2000

The 2000 Colorado state legislative session has begun, and there's a lot of work to do. Gun control, school reform and controlling urban sprawl are hot-button, high priority issues, according to Gov. Owens. Will our delegation make us proud? Do we even know who they are?

Do you know who your state representative is? I don't.

What is the most important issue before the state Legislature this season? I know that they're talking about voting on something to do with schools and school reform. I don't know if that's more important than anything else to me, though. Yeah, it is a big deal, for sure.

If you were governor, what would be your top priority? My top priority as governor would be to make sure that everyone is fed and has a warm place to sleep.

What is the most important issue before the state Legislature this season? I think trying to curb youth violence.

If you were governor, what would be your top priority? Youth violence and the growth problem. Trying to manage the growth; instead of it managing us.
