Summertime is movie time. Hollywood is pumping out blockbusters as fast as counter help can fill up the bags of popcorn. And, in Colorado Springs, we're gearing up for the Lavender Film Festival (see cover story). So what do people think about this year's crop?

Who do you think should play you in a made-forTV movie?
Farrah Fawcett.
What kind of movie should Hollywood try to make?
There's too much fake stuff. Like in XXX, there was a lot of fake stuff that you knew was just not possible. They need to get back down to earth a little.
What's your favorite summer movie? XXX. That's all I've seen so far anyway.

What film do you think demonstrates what life is like in Colorado Springs?
I don't know that there is a movie like that.
Who do you think should play you in a made-for-TV movie?
I like the spunk and the freedom that Meg Ryan seems to have. A few people have told me that I resemble Claire Danes in Romeo and Juliet, but I haven't seen that movie.
What kind of movie should Hollywood try to make?
I'm saddened by the downward spiral of morality. I like character development and substance, rather than just the action and sex and violence. I like a good story.
What's your favorite summer movie?
I love Good Will Hunting, but that might just be because of my job.

Who do you think would play you in a made-for-TV movie, and why?
Jamie Preston because people tell me I look like her.
What kind of movies should Hollywood make?
More happy movies, less focus on violence. More romantic movies.
What's your favorite summer movie?
I like scary movies and lovey-dovey movies, but every girl does. My favorite movie is probably Grease or Dirty Dancing.

What film do you think demonstrates life in Colorado Springs?
There aren't any. I don't think it would make a very good movie.
Who do you think should play you in a made-for-TV movie?
Ben Affleck because he's done comedy, he's done action, and I'm a little of both.
What kind of movies should Hollywood be making?
They need to make more movies that make the crowds think. Half the movies you see these days you can predict the ending, or just don't care at all. They need to come up with something that's going to challenge people intellectually.
What's your favorite summer movie?
If I had to pick one, Lord of the Rings was pretty good.
