Back in the day, release of a new album by the likes of Dylan, Hendrix, the Doors or the Beatles was a huge event. Seeing them play live was a communal religious experience.

What's the best concert you've ever attended? Joni Mitchell at Red Rocks back in the '80s. I'm a huge fan, and it was a gorgeous summer night. The moon rose from behind the amphitheater stage as she sang.
Name a concert you wish you'd seen. Woodstock. All those huge groups in one setting. Dancing naked in the rain and mud.
What's your craziest concert story, personally? Sleeping overnight inside Red Rocks to assure front-row seats for Joni Mitchell the next night. It had been totally trashed from an Allman Brothers concert earlier that night. Garbage blew all over us while we slept.
Which group would you most like to have been in? The Mamas and the Papas.
What's the best concert you've been to? Back in the day, Save Ferris played at Street Scene San Diego.
If you could be part of any band, what would it be? His name is Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears. He's a modern-day James Brown with a twist of the Fray.
Who would you dress like? James Brown. I'd be like the hardest working man in show business. I think I could pull it off I may not have the Afro.
What would your signature move be? The moonwalk. There's no better move on stage than the moonwalk.

Name your best-ever concert. The Rolling Stones, Charlie Daniels and J. Geils 63,000 people in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis on the Fourth of July, 1975. Tickets were $12. It was so hot, the fire department brought in a hose to spray us. At one point, Mick Jagger sprayed us all with it from the stage.
What's your craziest concert story? A friend and I managed to sneak backstage after a Willie Nelson concert. We each nabbed a six-pack of Lone Star from coolers lining the wall and watched everything from an out-of-the-way spot. We had to jump off the balcony onto the stage when they discovered us, and I broke my ankle.
What group do you wish you could've played in? The Grateful Dead. They had amazing fans. Their concerts were tons of fun.
