Modern literature is unthinkable without Whitman's Leaves of Grass, James Joyce's Ulysses, Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer, D.H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterley's Lover
and Allen Ginsberg's Howl. Yet they were all deemed pornographic when they appeared. What constitutes pornography?

Does pornography have a place in society? Sex is an inevitable part of human nature, and humans make up society. People have sex. Pornography is an extension of sex. Is there such a thing as porn addiction? Any hard-to-control impulse can be addictive.
Many present-day "masterpieces" were considered porn when they appeared. Were we too strict then, or are we too lenient now? We were too strict then. We express human nature through our art forms, and freedom of art is essential, even for "adult" forms.

Does porn have a place in society? Children should be protected from it, but it should be allowed among consenting adults. Which should have priority: freedom of speech or regulating porn? Freedom of speech, definitely.
The government banned Tropic of Cancer in the '30s and b>Howl in the '50s. Are we too lenient nowadays? There's a big difference between "classic" and "trashy." The pendulum has swung too far. We're too accepting of trash, even on television.

Does porn have a place in society? It will as long as there's men and women. Is porn addiction real? If you can derive pleasure from something, you can become addicted to it.
What is pornography? Depiction of body parts in an inartistic way, and without much human insight.
Shouldporn be limited? I'm more about freedoms than limitations, although I think it's probably too accessible to kids.
