Name a news story that's been under- reported. The U.S. failure in Afghanistan. Also, genocide in Sudan. How about locally? The Fort Carson expansion. The military presence in this area is huge it's destroying a lot of land.
Is the media more Bush's lapdog or his watchdog? His lapdog, which is ironic because most people are unhappy with Bush's administration. The press would score more points by closer, more critical scrutiny.
Where do you get your news? The Internet and newspapers.

What news story isn't getting reported? The story about the white and black kids fighting in the Louisiana high school wasn't covered very well. The real story is what sparked the fights, not the fights as such. Is the media more Bush's lapdog or watchdog? His lapdog. They're afraid that challenging Bush would lose them revenue from the big-money advertisers and it probably would.
What's your primary news source? The New York Times.
Do you listen to talk radio? Not much. When I do it's usually Air America, especially Ed Schultz, because that's the time slot I'm able to listen.
What story would you do if you were b>Indy editor? Efforts people are making to patronize locally grown food and environmentally conscious businesses. Also, I'd challenge things said in the Gazette more often.

What news story merits more coverage than it's received? The Blackwater situation in Iraq. How about locally? The water pipeline from Pueblo to Colorado Springs. It's going to be costly and decide growth in Colorado Springs.
Is the media behaving like Bush's lapdog or his watchdog? His watchdog. He's pushed his executive powers to an extreme and the media is really onto him and watching him.
Where do you get your news? From the Gazette and NBC Nightly News.
If you were Indy editor, what story would you do? The polar ice caps melting.

What news story has been overdone? Anything having to do with Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan or O.J. Simpson. Also, the Ted Haggard scandal got tiresome. Who cares that much? It's his personal affair. Is the media more a Bush administration lapdog or watchdog? Neither. They just cover things.
Where do you get your news? From the Gazette and the Indy, and from NPR, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
If you were Indy editor, what story would you do? Stories about local neighborhood issues and causes instead of large political movements.
