What was the brand of your first beer? I was born and raised in Philadelphia, so it was Philadelphia-brewed Schmidt's.
What beer do you typically drink these days? My favorite beers nowadays are Mexican: Modelo, Superior, Estrella, Pacifico.
Have you ever made your own beer? Both beer and wine. All your microbrews are ales, essentially, and ales are easy to make because there's no temperature control. Homebrew is every bit as good as anything you buy in the stores, really fresh, but it's cheaper to buy it than make it.

What was your first beer? I had this fascination with Guinness for a while, so it was probably that.
What was the occasion? To get drunk literally. I was 17, someone else was buying.
What's your favorite now? I still like lagers, stouts and porters. Amber at Phantom Canyon is probably my favorite. It has a little sweet aftertaste, and it's not too hoppy or malty.
What's your most memorable beer? This really hardcore, high-alcohol beer that tasted like plums and vinegar that was passed around the bar for everybody to taste. Nobody else liked it, but I kind of enjoyed it it was very complex. I don't know what it was.

Do you drink beer much? Yeah. I'm a beer girl. It's cheaper, it lasts longer, I like the taste.

What was the occasion of your first beer? I snuck one of my dad's Coors.
What beer do you drink now? Mostly microbrews. I like trying different kinds. My favorite for now is Young's Chocolate Stout I think it's English.
What's your favorite local microbrew? Tommyknocker Stout, which you can only get at the brewery. Very creamy, very smooth, reminds you of a Guinness.
What's your guiding beer philosophy? I love beer. I love the different tastes. And I love living here because there's so many different types.
