Washington politicians may not be pushing the big D -- Draft -- as a hot topic of conversation, this being an election year and all. But, with the United States' continued involvement in Iraq, it's a good possibility that the draft will be reinstated in the spring of 2005 -- after the election is over.

Where do you think George W. Bush was during 1972? Probably avoiding the draft.
What was he doing? I don't know. Living in Canada.
What do you think about the possibility of the draft being reinstated? It's always a possibility.
What would you do if you were drafted? I'd probably enlist before I was drafted; then I could choose what I wanted to do.
How do we solve Iraq? I have no idea. I don't know what's going on over there. I don't think anyone does.

Where do you think George W. Bush was during 1972? There isn't enough information to make a judgment.
What was he doing? He may have been doing what he said he was doing.
What do you think about the possibility of the draft being reinstated? I think we are doing pretty good with the setup we have now. I don't think we need a draft.
What would you do if you were drafted? I may just disappear into the heartland and not make my whereabouts known.
How do we solve Iraq? I believe we should follow the schedule stated and get out of there by the end of June. The international community needs to take over.

Where do you think George W. Bush was during 1972? I have no idea. I think they make too much of it; I couldn't remember where I was in 1972.
What do you think about the possibility of the draft being reinstated? I have mixed feelings. I worry that the volunteer Army is overwhelmingly composed of people who are economically disadvantaged; it's an unfair distribution of pain in our culture. At the same time, the draft is a horrible thing.
What would you do if you were drafted? I would go. I feel that there are good things worth fighting for.
How do we solve Iraq? More education, a lot of financial aid and patience. I'm encouraged that the U.N. is getting more involved.

Where do you think George W. Bush was during 1972? Probably where he said he was.
What was he doing? Acting like a 26-year-old.
What do you think about the possibility of the draft being reinstated? I don't think we need to. It should only be in case of dire emergency.
What would you do if you were drafted? I would do my duty.
How do we solve Iraq? There has got to be a lot more educating of Iraqis so they understand what would happen if we left. We cannot leave until it stabilizes.
