Dear Mr. Asay:

I enjoyed your recent cartoon about the trajectory of state-sanctioned marriage. It seems you're implying that gay marriage will pave the way for marriage between men and boys.

Wow! You must really be poring over those Focus on the Family press releases, huh Chuck?

And to illustrate your point about man-boy marriage, you go with the astoundingly original zinger of, gasp, Michael Jackson. My goodness, your staggering originality is just, uhhh, staggering.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you still pine for the halcyon days when comics waxed redundant with I've fallen and I can't get up! jokes and digs on new-fangled electronic devices like The Clapper.

Keep pandering, pardner, and one day you might just become the next Bil Keane.

Your fan,

Kenneth H. Cleaver
