Dear Pastor Scarborough,
YES! That was my reaction when I heard about your campaign to boycott the liberal media. Finally, I thought, someone has the GUTS to broach this taboo. And to call for a boycott, wow! That takes courage. Especially in Texas.
I want you to know that I'm all for this campaign, but I have a few questions.
The study you cite as proof of liberal media bias (A Measure of Media Bias) notes that the most liberal American newspaper is The Wall Street Journal. Should I boycott the entire paper? Or is it OK for me to continue reading the opinion pages, which are consistently to the right of the Lord himself? LOL!
Also, I know the New York Times is a fiercely leftist newspaper. However, its editor did have the sense not to publish that hit piece on the administration's domestic wiretapping before the 2004 election. In addition, it's hard to say Judith Miller didn't do her part for the war in Iraq.
As for Fox News, well, I know they're on our team, but the network promotes subversive filth like Stacked, the decidedly anti-family Family Guy and The OC.
I think it's very important to maintain rigid ideological coherence in campaigns like this. Though I can certainly make my own decisions, I feel much better when a pastor signs off on them. So, I'd appreciate it if you could advise.
