We can only imagine that life's a little tougher these days for regular readers of the Independent.
You've always had a busy schedule, but have somehow found the time to read us each week. (OK, most weeks.) Then on Oct. 9, we hit you with our election issue, providing analysis and endorsements for contested races and ballot issues. After that came the first installment of our annual Best Of Colorado Springs coverage, swelling our Oct. 16 issue to 128 pages.
This week, we bring you another 128 pages, including Volume Two of the Best Of honors for 2008 (starting on p. 33). And on our news pages, we're still reporting what we consider important stories leading up to the 2008 general election.
This week's coverage starts with another copy of the Indy's endorsements (p. 8), followed by publisher John Weiss promoting a quickly organized Oct. 28 town-hall forum for election questions.
After that: "Ranger Rich" Tosches fires some fresh rounds at Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin; reporter Anthony Lane continues delving into issues related to the performance of our clerk and recorder's office; and in Between the Lines, I address misconceptions regarding the city and county ballot questions.
That's a lot for your money oh yeah, and it's still free.
