Looking out for candidates' No. 1 priorities 

Council hopefuls weigh in on the issues they feel are most important

In the questionnaire we sent to all City Council candidates in the April 2 election, we asked, "If elected, what's your top priority?"

In the end, 23 of 24 candidates responded, and their answers were all over the map. But most commonly cited were two things: jobs and public safety.
