Some publications on local style and sports

Colorado Springs isn't a glossy-mag type of town, but there is one true "lifestyle publication" for "affluent readers." That'd be Colorado Springs Style (coloradospringsstyle.com), a slick-looking publication that covers all the usual bases: food, business, entertainment, etc.

There are also two sports-related publications of note: Rocky Mountain Sports (rockymountainsports.com) is technically out of Denver, but it includes topical info and calendar and event listings (road races, "how-to" seminars, etc.) relevant to the Springs area. Its Web site is updated constantly with breaking news and some feature stories. Peak Region Cyclist (peakregioncyclist.com) takes a sharper focus, offering tips on exciting bike trails and routes to ride, as well as less technical stories on local bikers and the things they do.
