Amorres Perros (R)
This film, whose title roughly translates to "love's a bitch," marks the debut of director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Amorres Perros combines three interlinked stories of love and relationships -- all involving dogs and the gritty Mexico City streetscape -- in a way that has often been compared to the film style delivered by Quentin Tarantino in Pulp Fiction. Spanish with English subtitles.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (PG-13)

Based on the popular video game series, Tomb Raider stars Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, an antiquities hunter for hire who travels to exotic locales in search of treasures and artifacts in the catacombs of ancient tombs and ruins. Directed by Simon West.

A retired Air Force pilot -- passed up by NASA when he was young -- is recruited to retrieve a malfunctioning satellite launched years before. He is the only person with the expertise to fix the satellite, but will only agree to the mission if he can take his three friends with him. Directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. Also stars Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, James Cromwell and Donald Sutherland.
