Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock star in a $100 million Jerry Bruckheimer (Pearl Harbor) blockbuster designed to lull us through a summer afternoon with plenty of guaranteed big bangs, car crashes, etc. Hopkins is a CIA agent who must train Rock to be just like his slain agent twin brother in just one week.

The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (PG-13)
Callie Khouri (screenwriter of Thelma and Louise) makes her directorial debut with this adaptation of Rebecca Wells' wildly popular Southern chick novel. Sandra Bullock is Siddalee Walker, a writer trying to reconcile her relationship with her volatile, Louisiana wildcat mother, played by Ellen Burstyn. Also starring Maggie Smith and Ashley Judd.

Triumph of Love (PG-13)
Mira Sorvino and Ben Kingsley star in this screen adaptation of an 18th century Marivaux play. She's a princess who disguises herself as a boy to get closer to her true love.
