Good Boy (PG)
12-year-old Owen (Liam Aiken) is shocked to find that he understands Hubble (voiced by Matthew Broderick), his new pet mutt. Hubble informs Owen that dogs came to earth thousands of years ago to colonize the planet. Hubble has been sent by the Greater Dane (Vanessa Redgrave), to make sure that the plan was carried out successfully. To Hubble's dismay, he realizes that dogs are now just pets. With Owen's help, he must prepare the neighborhood dogs for a visit from the Greater Dane. If they do not convince the great one that dogs are running the show, all the dogs of the world will be removed. With the voices of Cheech Marin, Brittany Murphy and Carl Reiner. -- Not reviewed

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (PG)
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) enters his third and possibly most dangerous year at Hogwarts as he comes up against convicted murderer Sirius Black (Gary Oldman), soul-sucking dementors and of course the evil Voldemort. With the help of good friends Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), Potter will not only be fighting for his life but also coming to terms with his raging hormones. Mexican Alfonso Cuarn (Y Tu Mam Tambin) directs this latest installment in the Potter series, which stars Michael Gambon as Dumbledore following Richard Harris' death, Emma Thompson and cast regulars Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith and Robbie Coltrane. -- Not reviewed

*Super Size Me (NR)
While Super Size Me is overtly political, taking aim against the food industry in general and McDonald's in particular, it's also about something every American has a relationship with: fast food. But more than its subject matter, there's a freak-show element to Morgan Spurlock's endeavor. Eating McDonald's for three square meals a day, not exercising, Spurlock, a 32-year-old New Yorker, sacrifices his gastrointestinal well-being for our own amusement. Those worshipping at the church of personal responsibility will maintain that Spurlock's approach is bogus and placing the blame for all our nutritional woes on McDonald's doorstep is as absurd as Spurlock's diet. But Super Size Me is not merely an indictment of one corporation, but an entire culture's obsession with "big." -- John Dicker
