National Public Radio recently aired a story about a study in which 62 percent of the people who voted for George W. Bush said that they'd still vote for him if his opponent were George Washington. Meanwhile, an old friend of Dubya's shared some audiotapes in which the president affirms (while vowing never to admit it publicly) that he's smoked marijuana, and maybe more ...

More than 60 percent of the people who voted for Bush have said they'd vote for him over George Washington. What does this suggest? That Bush's supporters are so conservative that George Washington wouldn't suit them.
Bill Clinton attended Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship instead of going to Vietnam. The story goes that he smoked grass -- but didn't inhale! George W. Bush joined the National Guard to evade Vietnam and admitted that he's smoked pot. Respond to this parallel. Ten years ago, they were saying Clinton was unfit to lead because he was a draft-evading drug user in his youth. But these same conservatives see no problem with Bush.
Should marijuana be decriminalized? There's a lot of information showing that it has medical benefits, and I'd say that a good 50 percent of the population has used it more than once.

A recent study found that 62 percent of the people who voted for Bush would vote for him even if the other candidate were George Washington. What does this suggest? That Bush's supporters are either uneducated and out of touch with our history, or they're more influenced by current trends and opinions than by the principles our country was founded on.
Conservatives called Clinton a draft-dodging pothead. Is Bush a draft-dodging pothead? They did the same thing. It's hypocritical to attack Clinton but claim righteousness in supporting Bush.
Do you know anyone who smokes marijuana? b>From all walks of life -- lawyers, judges, ex-cops, parents.

What difference is there between Clinton and Bush during the Vietnam years? They both evaded my brother's fate -- he got drafted and sent to Vietnam. But I'd say it takes more brains to get a Rhodes Scholarship than it does to get your well-connected dad to get you into the National Guard.
Why would anyone choose Bush over George Washington for president? People are swayed by trendy opinions more than substance. It's like when Rolling Stone asks readers to list the top 100 albums of all time, and 75 of them are from the last five years.
Should marijuana be decriminalized? We jail way too many people for possession of small amounts, though I think it should be illegal for people under a certain age, like with cigarettes and alcohol now.
How prevalent is marijuana use? Very from working class to wealthy. It doesn't matter.
