Have you ever experienced discrimination of any kind? Yes, depending on what I'm wearing people sometimes assume I don't have any money. I like to wear beat-up, worn, comfortable clothes.
What demographic group do you think suffers the most discrimination in 2014? I think right now white people suffer discrimination, because we're not the majority anymore. We've been known as being the discriminators, so now we're discriminated against by some other groups.
Do you feel Colorado Springs is an inclusive and welcoming city? Yes, but not as much as Manitou Springs. Everyone in Manitou is nice.
What could make the Springs a more welcoming place for everyone? I think it's pretty welcoming, but I'd like to see more activities like sporting events, games and tournaments where everyone can participate.

What could make the Springs a more welcoming place for everyone? Maybe less liquor stores and bars and more productive things for people to do. There should be more bookstores.

How do you feel our city is seen by outsiders? I think most people think of the beautiful scenery, but I've heard local people say it's changed a lot and gone downhill in the last few years.
What could make the Springs a more welcoming place for all? A lot of people I talk to don't like the homeless or the hippies. But if people would take the time to learn someone's story, they would become more open. We shouldn't stereotype.
