The Pikes Peak Workforce Center, which helps the unemployed find jobs, is celebrating a new location at the Southeast Armed Services YMCA, calling it a step toward "meet[ing] clients where they are."

The new location is the eighth satellite location of the main PPWFC on Garden of the Gods Road. It will provide clients with a range of free services, including a computer lab, career planning, job search assistance, skills assessments and educational plans. On Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m., a Spanish-speaking team will help those clients with a language barrier.

"We are excited about this new partnership between the PPWFC and the SE YMCA," Lisanne McNew, Workforce Development Board chair, stated in a release. "This is a key location to provide services and support to our community and we realize the importance of evening hours to assist job seekers in finding employment."
