Spring is here. Eden has returned. The voice of the turtle is heard again in the land on the surface, anyway. The Big Picture includes global warming and dwindling clean water and fossil fuels, with environmental rape, depletion and looting increasingly the worldwide norm. What's a Mother to do?

I'd give it a 4, - because of all the urban sprawl and the need to use cars - to get everywhere.

    What's the most significant environmental issue today? Too much trash, and nothing to do about it but keep piling it up.

    Name something environmentally conscious you did this year. I work with a group of students to promote fair-trade coffee. Fair trade also promotes environmentally sustainable farming practices.

    On a scale of 1 to 10, rate Colorado Springs as an environmentally conscious city. I'd give it a 4, because of all the urban sprawl and the need to use cars to get everywhere.
