Playing Around: Betting on the Muse

Take a few Red Hot Chili Peppers and put them in Lita Ford's naughty bits; they'll have reached Nirvana, and she'll be Betting on the Muse. Rock und roll house with an indie-punk sub-floor, BOTM has been part of the burgeoning Springs music scene for about three years now and are set to release their first full-length album early in 2003 before they start expanding their touring radius outside the state. They often open for the ubiquitous local nostalgio-punks The Mansfields -- who've accumulated almost 100 live shows in nine countries and who're now promoting their new EP Loud Fast Rules! -- and will be doing the same tonight.
