There's something so ... je ne sais quoi about the thought of a live music series in the quad at a private boarding school in the Broadmoor. I don't know, maybe it's that "picnic with the illuminati" feel of it all -- you know, Scottish wool blanket spread out on the sod with a jar of caviar, a bag of Terra Chips and that unmistakable waft of sockless feet unsheathed from penny loafers. Smells like ... bling. Add to that the nationally acclaimed (yet local), Celtic-bluegrass-folk-swing-gospel-country sounds of Black Rose, and you've got yerself a genuine hootenanny! Though this is the first and only "Sunset Concert" planned for this year, the organizers at the Colorado Springs School hope the event will be a big enough success to plan a six-event Sunset Concert series for next year. So come on up and watch "the sunset coloring the white terra cotta building pink."
