There's something so touchingly quaint about a metal band bred for commercial success. They're skilled, sure. They're heavy, sort of. But above all, they want it. They want the (yeah, I'm gonna say it) "Benjamins." And when a band like this -- a band just "everything" enough for radio, and sitting in the middle digits on the Billboard charts with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Creed, P.O.D. and Godsmack -- comes through town, you just have to see them to know, once and for all: "What do they have that I don't?" Well, I can tell you that they have Miller Lite and The Miller Side Door Tour behind them (which means you could win free tickets to hang out with them and stuff), plus PlayStation2 and MTV2 and various other purveyors of the almighty Benjamins. But other than that, it might just be the haircuts. Find out for yourself this Saturday at their all-ages show with Gripped and Zero Factor. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.43 in advance (available at Independent Records) and $6 at the door.
