Ah, Fu Manchu -- the rock band without a country. First, they get booked at the Colorado Music Hall, but then are mysteriously removed from the ticket sale list, and are reported "cancelled." Hmmm. Then rumors begin to surface that Fu Manchu is still performing in the area (but where?) and expensive media pictures of the band toting surfboards and cavorting with naked female victims of gratuitous augmentation arrive in the mail. Next thing you hear, the golden boys are playing over at The Underground, despite that club's attempts at becoming an electronica bar. Weirder still, tickets for the all-ages show are two dollars and ninety-four cents, marked down from six dollars and forty-three cents at the Hall. Shuffled around because they suck, or because they are so good that no place is fit to hold their greatness? You decide. Call 633-0590.
