Seemingly Germanic intentional misspelling of their name notwithstanding, local classic rockers Gyzunglasus (that's right, read: guys in glasses) take their music seriously. One-fifth Blues Traveler, one-fifth Creedence, one-fifth Dead, one-fifth Dire Straits, and one-fifth Pink Floyd, these "Gyz" rock that familiar sound that sounds familiar but isn't. It's something you could put your finger on but don't, cuz you're too busy rocking out to the likes of "Sheman," "Khalibandy" and "The Reverse Country Song" from their recently remastered and rereleased 1995 album. If those songs are already a little bit too classic for your tastes, the Gyz -- John Byers (vocals, guitar), Charles Binkowski (vocals, guitar), Kevin Waybright (vocals, bass), Rick Carney (drums), Chris Bocast (guitar), and Bryant Johnson (keyboard) -- recently spawned Almost Live, a collection of covers and originals sure to set you to drinkin'!
This show at Stargazers with the Charlie Milo Trio will be broadcast live on local…
