It's funny how a Christian rock group's love songs always take a peculiar detour in the mind. Instead of imagining a girlfriend or boyfriend (or ex) as the object of lyrics like "Your love, / it is the compass of my heart,/ Your love, / it is the thing that let me start," you see a bearded man in a white robe. Context says so much! British Jesus followers Delirious? don't care what you think about the son of the Almighty. They're too busy rockin' -- pop rockin', that is. In fact, if you like U2 or Radiohead, but just don't find enough "Lord" in their lyrics, then Delirious? will resurrect your soul while giving you the feeling that you're still participating in the fashions, hairstyles and culturally-sanctioned rituals of Generations X, Y, Z, P, D, Q and beyond. And you best take 'em seriously; these guys have already outsold Michael Jackson's last venture with their latest release Touch (EMI/CMG). They'll be joined on stage by fellow Christian rockers The Elms, and local band Desperation, a modern worship band from New Life Church.
