Fans of the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge will definitely like the singer-songwriter musings of Kim Char Meredith, if you know where I'm coming from. This Hawaii native is in the midst of a four-and-a-half month mainland tour titled "Winter Heat -- Hawaiian Beach Party Tour" (of course) supporting her CD Give and Take on Passionate Woman Records. Passionate, Hawaiian -- what more can you ask for!? Look, the first song she ever listened to as a wee lass was Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life" and she also liked Karen Carpenter. Whaddya want me to do, spell it out for you? Well, she's also considered Christian light pop even though her albums have titles like Slender Line of Lavender or Spreadin' Out To Come Together. Don't try to solve the mystery, just live it!
