The hard-rocking, blues-based band Indigenous will fire it up this Sunday at 32 Bleu with Mato Nanji working his magic on electric guitar and lead vocals, his sister Wanbdi on drums, brother Pte on bass and cousin Horse shaking out percussion. The Nakota Sioux musicians came onto the scene with a contribution to the Honor the Earth benefit CD in '97. They released Things We Do in '98 and followed it up with Circle, Live at Pachyderm Studios. Their new self-titled CD shows influences that range from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Audioslave, a skillful mix of old and new. Their cool jams will vibe the Telluride Blues & Brews Fest and the Soiled Dove in Denver before rocking the Springs.
