Southside Johnnys, 528 S. Tejon St
Saturday, Feb. 26, 9:30 p.m.

Local alternative rock band, BluE rolls into Southside Johnny's on Saturday, Feb 26, at 9:30 p.m., playing eclectic sets of originals mixed with everything from Green Day, 3 Doors Down, Train, Collective Soul and Pink Floyd. BluE's budding talent features 18-year-old keyboardist Kevin Kelpin; drummer Alex Moeller and 17-year-old guitarist Jordan Michael Smith, and rounding out the foursome is Kevin's dad, bassist Tim Kelpin. Crediting the influences of such rock icons as Elton John, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Radiohead, Blue plays with a raw, rough sound with some decent sound mixing they produce some serious and intense rock 'n' roll. Conversations are underway to cut another recording; their demo CD, Broken is currently on the rock agent circuit in New York.
