If you haven't yet seen one of the newfangled hardcore bands out there, The Blood Brothers are a good start. They've got it all: vocalists who sing so close to one mike that they nearly make out; a wildly unpredictable stage show; nonsensical, emotional lyrics; screaming; and rock music. You'll mostly notice the warbling falsetto that bubbles from the crooners, causing you to wince and dance during the same song. With lyrics like, "Thanks for the survival rags/ Thanks for the soiled skies/ Thanks for the fucked-up future/ We can learn to love misery," expect nothing less than ear-shattering chaos infused with tortured heartbreak.
