It's not so surprising that a band known primarily for playing cover songs has produced a radio-friendly album of originals. The Martini Shot, named for a film crew's final shot of the day, has been performing in their current lineup for two years, plenty of time to learn enough cover tunes to get any wedding reception boogeying. Their album Dry and Dirty proves they're not constrained by genre, as it roams from ska to jam. And the Pueblo-based group also writes their own music. Catch on to their popular sound at a free show tonight at Thunder and Buttons II.
