Signal to Noise with Planes Mistaken for Stars and The Great Redneck Hope
The Black Sheep, 2106 E. Platte Ave. Saturday, Nov. 12, 7:30 p.m. $8, all ages; visit ticketweb.com for tickets.

Signal to Noise is so much more intellectual, interesting and complex than the crappy pop-punk artists on the radio. They're excellent musicians who, without being trite or simplistic, create a contagious rock sound that dominates your mental space long after you've stopped listening. The band has been playing lots of Colorado shows, specifically on the Soda Jerk circuit, and they're set to sign with Eyeball Records.

It's about time that a seriously talented Colorado band gets a serious deal for playing seriously good music. Expect their four-song EP, Stop When the Rain Starts, to release in time for their winter/spring tour. Preview it at signaltonoiserock.com.
