The Colorado Springs blues community is putting its heart where its art is on Saturday night with a benefit show for the Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission. "A friend of mine had been volunteering at the PPJPC and was looking for a way to lift the spirit and show support for the PPPJC on the day of the demonstration," said Joe Sciallo, referring to the peace rally and protest against the war in Iraq set to take place in Palmer Park on Saturday morning. Included in the lineup at the BAC are Magic Dave Therault, Mike "Motel King" Nelson, Little Robbie Graham, Mamma Jamma Band and lots of other local blues cameos. Also on stage will be speakers from PPJPC and other guests. "It's a great thing that the local blues cats are behind this," said Sciallo. "It's the artists and musicians who are going to create change, not the politicians."
