Colorado Steak Company All Natural Meat and Fish Market (1645 Briargate Pkwy., #245), coming up on two years of business in the Springs, recently launched an Organic Produce Club.
For an annual membership cost of $50, owner Cliff Telle says he can save you roughly 35 percent off what you'd pay at other retailers in town for organic produce. As proof, he's posted a sample shopping menu on his Web site; he believes customers will earn back their membership within a few weeks of joining the program.

Locally based Patsy's Candies has developed a line of raspberry cream dark chocolate truffles to support the Opera Theatre of the Rockies' upcoming production of Carmen.
Carmen Temptations will be on sale through Carmen's run-date of March 2 at Patsy's store at 1540 S. 21st St., at several Carmen pre-events, at both shows and also by placing orders at either 633-9373 or 633-7215. Fight the 1,500
In partnership with the local gardening nonprofit Solidarity of Hope, Pikes Peak Urban Gardens is accepting applications from individuals, businesses, schools and other organizations interested in assisting with the creation of community gardens.
One noted benefit of a community garden: Unlike your average store-bought produce, what's grown doesn't travel 1,500 miles to reach you. The suggested donation to turn a plot of land fertile is $350. Visit ppugardens.org for more.
