In fact, these are the names of brews soon to be on tap at Trinity Brewing Co. , tentatively set to open in early August at 1466 Garden of the Gods Road. The brainchild of Todd Walton and former Bristol Brewing Co. guru Jason Yester, Trinity promises "over-the-top strong," artisanal, Belgian-style beers to be paired with Slow Food dining: a deliciously creative match. For more, call 634-0029 or visit trinitybrew.com.
Speaking of new breweries, wouldn't you know that another just opened off Powers Boulevard, at 625 Paonia St.? Rocky Mountain Brewing, the creation of longtime homebrewer Duane Lujan, who also owns Wine-Crafters and Home Brew Supplies on the same site, offers roughly 10 small-batch beers available for tasting and purchase by growler or keg from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Head brewer Nick Hilborn (who at 22, claims to be the youngest brewer in the country) says RMB offers a few standby beers alongside "an extensive list of seasonal and experimental beers." The operation also features a brew-your-own option, which amounts to a five-hour, one-on-one class for $65, that yields five gallons of beer to take home, bottled. Expect a canning operation to start up sometime in the distant future, too. Call 528-1651 for more.
Club Nine will host a gourmet fundraising barbecue at 4 p.m., June 22 at the Margarita at PineCreek (7350 Pine Creek Road). Entry costs $35; call 598-8667 for reservations. On June 26, the Craftwood Inn (404 El Paso Blvd.) will host a six-course Club Nine fundraiser dinner, "Touring the Italian Countryside," at 6:30 p.m. $65 includes tax/tip; call 685-9000 for reservations.
The Blue Star (1645 S. Tejon St.) will host a four-course Margerum Winemaker Dinner at 6:30 p.m., June 25. Cost of $65 doesn't include tax/tip; call 632-1086 for more.
From June 20-29, Panera Bread will trade customers a free grilled breakfast sandwich for the donation of a non-perishable breakfast item to help bolster Care and Share Food Bank's supply. For locations and more, visit panera-colorado.com. Compiled by Matthew Schniper
