Rio Bistro (126 S. Union Ave., Pueblo) owner Elisabeth Millenet and chef Ben Bedard have partnered on a new venture. After a soft opening Oct. 6, Victoria's Gourmet Market, Delicatessen and Catering, at 218 Victoria Ave., will serve breakfast and lunch from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue (5850 Barnes Road) will celebrate its one-year anniversary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11. The franchise offers dishes like Hawaiian barbecued beef, chicken and short ribs, taro-leaf-wrapped Kalua pork and a variety of seafood. The first 50 people in the door at the party only pay $1 for a barbecue plate lunch. There'll be giveaways, Polynesian dance and music, plus a musubi making and eating contest.
