The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum exhibit, So Far From Home: The American POW Experience in WWII, closed in April after 10 months, but its spirit lives on in the 57-minute documentary So Far From Home: Life as a WWII POW in Germany. Local producer Steve Mack cut the film from 80 minutes of interview material with local veterans, used in the exhibit as touch-screen video segments, and earned the Colorado Spotlight award for his work at this year's Indie Spirit Film Festival. Catch the film again at 6 and 8 tonight in Colorado College's Max Kade Theatre (14 E. Cache la Poudre St., ifsoc.org) for free. — Matthew Schniper
