In the April 19 edition of The Cut, Erika Mullett of Brooklyn's on Boulder shared her love of alcohol infusions, as well as a sample of the strawberry-black pepper-vanilla-infused gin she and the Brooklyn's team are using on their new menu. She was gracious enough to share the recipe with the Indy, which we've included below.

Ingredients

1 bottle (750 mL) Lee Spirits Dry Gin

1/4 vanilla bean, whole

2 c. strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced

1 tbsp. simple syrup

1/4 c. black peppercorns, whole

Directions

Add gin, vanilla bean, strawberries and simple syrup to a 1 liter mason jar. Cover tightly and store somewhere dark for two days. Remove strawberries, then add peppercorns to gin. Cover tightly and store somewhere dark for one more day. Strain to remove peppercorns and vanilla.
