It's not all because of "Love Shack," but that's a big part of it. The B-52s' longest-lived single totally eclipsed the Athens, Ga., group's previous hits ("Rock Lobster," "Planet Claire," "Private Idaho"), and has helped keep the venerable party band playing sizeable venues despite the release of just one new album in the last 20 years. Anyone with a soft spot for pop smarts, campy theatrics and New Wave nostalgia should make sure to catch them tonight at the Pikes Peak Center (190 S. Cascade Ave., pikespeakcenter.com). Showtime is 8, with tickets ranging from $38 to $48. — Bill Forman
