Whether you're drawn to flamenco for its fancy footwork, intricate musical passages or, like me, the striking mix of pure power and grace that the dancers express, you can get a taste of all of these things today at Marmalade at Smokebrush (219 W. Colorado Ave., #210, smokebrush.org). Learn the finer details of flamenco technique, including palmas (clapping), llamadas (calling) and remates (finishes), at a workshop from 5 to 6:30 p.m., then return for an 8 p.m. show by Denver's María Vázquez and her performing group.
