Voting lowdown 

Where to register in El Paso County:

Centennial Hall 200 S. Cascade Ave. Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chapel Hills Mall 1710 Briargate Blvd. (on north side, next to JC Penney) Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Powers Branch 5650 Industrial Place Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When to register:

The deadline for registering to vote in Colorado is Oct. 10, 2006, 29 days before Election Day. For absentee ballots outside of Colorado, you must contact the specific state for registration due dates.

When to vote:

Nov. 2, 2006

How to vote:

You must vote in your state and county of citizenship. Bring personal identification to a voting location on Election Day, or send in an absentee ballot before your home state's deadline. You must by at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
