Tattoos will suffice for many — in which case, we have to mention Best Of winner West Side Tattoo — but a few parlors also cater to less permanent options.
HeeBee JeeBeeS Fine Art Tattoos and Gallery (myspace.com/heebeejeebeestattoos) digs up new, young artists consistently for edgy, often dark, visual art. The location and tattoo side may put a visit here out of the realm for some, but recent shows have proved the trek is worth it.
Next door, Holey Rollers (577-9943) is the retail spot for the jewelry and clothing club Calamity Crafters, who make funky, retro gear all by hand.
