"What's So Great About America? Why America is Loved, Why America is Hated" — Dinesh D'Souza

When: Wed., Jan. 27, 7 p.m. 2010
Phone: 719/549-2586

At 7 tonight, controversial author Dinesh D'Souza will give a free talk on "America as it really is" at the Hoag Recital Hall (2200 Bonforte Blvd., Pueblo, colostate-pueblo.edu/studentactivities) on the CSU-Pueblo campus. Where it might (and usually does) get interesting is when D'Souza builds some momentum and really gets rolling. For instance, his 2007 book The Enemy at Home saddles the blame for 9/11 with "the cultural left ... the media ... and the universities ..." To which the Washington Post replied, "For a Stanford fellow, D'Souza shows a surprising ignorance." Hopefully Colorado State appreciates the irony. — Bryce Crawford
