Who says?
The debate over abortion rights is one of the most persistent and controversial issues of our age. Which should prevail: the womans right to control her own body? Or the right of a fetus (or zygote) to grow into full personhood? Should the government do the deciding?

Is the pro-choice or anti-abortion faction winning the debate?
It's too personal an issue. The public debate isn't what's important. Who is better-suited to decide on an abortion: the government or the individual?
It should be decided by the individual in conjunction with her extended family and the community. She needs psychological support, no matter what her decision.
Will Roe v. Wade be overturned?
Legislation is ludicrous. Women will always find ways to have abortions. The question is whether they'll be medically safe or not. That doesn't mean I agree with abortion, though.

Is the pro- or anti-abortion side winning at present?
I think the pro-choice side is winning. Protesting abortion outside a facility where the act is being conducted doesn't change anything. The abortion goes on nonetheless. Is the individual or the government better-suited to decide this controversy?
It should be a function of the individual's religious beliefs and morals. The government shouldn't interfere with that.
What percentage of women get abortions?
It must be 20-25 percent.
Will Roe v. Wade be overturned?
Sooner or later, it will. We have too many children raising children, and children killing children. We'll eventually come to our senses.
What would the law be if you could make it? b>
Abortion should be available for medical reasons, but notsimply because of economics, preference or convenience.

Is the pro- or anti-choice faction winning the debate?
The anti-choice people aren't coming across in a very good light at present. Should the government or the individual decide this issue?
The government is run primarily by men. Women, not male-dominated government, should be the ones to decide what happens with their bodies.
Will Roe v. Wade be overturned?
No. It's a cornerstone of freedom. People wouldbe incensed if it were seriously threatened.
Do you know anyone who's had an abortion?
I knew a woman in college who had had two abortions and was moving toward her third. I severed all my connections with her over that, but it still has to be a matter of personal choice.
What would the law be if you could make it?
Counseling absolutely has to be available to help women with their choices. Also, safe abortions have to be available if that's the woman's choice.
