If you miss Acme's location next to Yakibob's and Conway's Red Top, look for its huge sign. Once inside, look for all the rest: products from Discreet Treats, North Shore Edibles, TinctureBelle, Keef Cola, the Mad Hatter Coffee & Tea Co., and granola bars and hard candies. Also, there's lotions, balms and three kinds of hash. And clones? Acme's got 15 kinds of clones. "They're Blue Dream clones, and they're huge and unbelievable," says manager Jocelyn (last name withheld).

Advance Cure for Vera Bestura

Advance Cure for Vera Bestura offers organic medicine, as well as edibles, tinctures, rubs, accessories, books and hemp products.

Alternative Medicine Colorado Springs

Expect to find glassware and accessories, as well as hash, edibles — Benjamin's Edibles, Cheeba Chews, hard candies, lollipops, popcorn and cotton candy — tinctures, and discounts for seniors. With lower prices, look for grams starting at $7, and eighths starting at $25.

Altitude Organic Medicine

The Old Colorado City medical marijuana center offers all organic strains, tinctures from TinctureBelle, lotions, earwax hash and edibles. If spliffs are your thing find cross, triple cross and King Kong joints.

American Wellness Center

Reza Hassani's American Wellness Center offers members free eighths from among its strains every two months, as well as a free joint with every purchase of an eighth, and a free edible with every quarter. Also find earwax hash, Dixie Elixirs, medicated chews, brownies, clones and bath accessories. Note: Eighths here typically run from $24 to $46.

Best Budz

Located on the northeast corner of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Academy Boulevard, Best Budz provides edibles, drinks, hash, tinctures and a large assortment of glassware. All members of the center get buy-one-get-one-half-off deals on eighths.

Bijou Wellness Center

Military-veteran-owned Bijou Wellness Center offers high-end organic strains, edibles, topical salves, hash and Caviar, as well as massage, acupuncture, counseling, craniosacral therapy and more. Look for a focus on servicing the needs of veterans and active military members, as well as specials on Facebook. "Fairly recently, we have the two highest-rated strains tested by two independent labs," says owner Jack Myers.

Briargate Wellness Center

Joe DiFabio's BWC is churning out the care: edibles, tinctures, creams and lotions, not to mention hash oil, keef and $25 grams or $80 eighths of Caviar. "We bend over backward for patients," DiFabio says. "We do whatever it takes to make them feel safe and secure." Last summer, the center took second in the hybrid division for its Red Dragon strain at the Best Meds contest.

Broadmoor Wellness Center

Broadmoor Wellness claims to be "the most beautiful and relaxing dispensary in town." Look for edibles, tinctures, hash caps, lotions, balms and more.

Canna Caregivers

The Canna Center

Caregivers at Canna say all the house strains are Colorado-grown and organic. "What people like is that we are medical in nature. We're located in a medical building, not just a retail store," says owner Tyla Reimers. "It seems to be what sets us apart for our patients." Look for a wide array of edibles, as well as other infused products and lotions.

Canna Meds Wellness Center

Billed as "a full wellness center," CMWC offers all the usual lotions and balms, pipes, jewelry, hash and edibles. All told, around five to seven different strains are harvested every week, so the stock is "constantly revolving," says owner Chris Rice. Eighths for top-shelf meds typically run around $35.

Cannabicare

Located near Peterson Air Force Base, Cannabicare is offering $25 to $35 eighths for members, and smoking accessories and edibles. Says one employee: "We're geared toward patients in need, and not recreational users." Adds another: "We just have really high-quality meds."

Cannabis Therapeutics

Cannabis Therapeutics offers $25 top-shelf eighths and daily specials including eighths starting at $15. Also find a variety of infused products like medicated bubble bath, edibles like bubble gum and a variety of smoking accessories all sent out the door in odor-proof, waterproof bags.

Cannacare

Tucked behind a 7-Eleven at the northeast corner of Fountain Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive, Cannacare serves patients' needs with hash — oil and pills — edibles, Caviar and, of course, the green stuff. Specials abound: A half-ounce gets you a free eighth; members get $30 top shelf eighths during periodic appreciation days; happy hour — where the purchase of an eighth yields a free joint — runs from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m.

Colorado Alternative Care Services

Employee Mike Sheffield says the center focuses mainly on cannabis, and tries to incentivize more purchases through a tiered system: $35 eighths, $65 quarters, $120 half-ounces and $225 ounces. As well, new patients get a buy-one-get-one deal on eighths, a free pre-rolled joint with the purchase of an eighth, and a free eighth with the purchase of an ounce. "One good thing about the cannabis is we're doing strain-specific pre-rolls," says Sheffield.

Colorado Cannabis Caregivers

CCC features "edibles that are guaranteed to work," says employee Ben Mitton, as well as hard candies, vaporizers and glass pipes. Also look for $20 to $50 locally grown eighths. "When people see our selection, they'll find out we're one of the better [dispensaries] in town," Mitton says. It's been serving the medical marijuana community since August '09.

Comfort Care Centers

One of the few dispensaries located in Teller County, Comfort Care Centers invites all comers, and offers a 10-percent-off senior discount. CCC also carries keef, hash, edibles and tinctures.

Crossroads MMC

"We're a small shop, and still growing, not trying to do anything too crazy," says owner Triton Gulczynski. "You know, just take care of our patients." Gulczynski, whose center is tucked away in an industrial park, says his favorite strains are Godzilla, Blue Dream, Chem Dawg and Island Sweet Skunk. Also look for a full lineup of edibles, $10 grams, and a $180-per-ounce mix-and-match special.

A Cut Above

A Cut Above offers a waiting room featuring a big-screen TV and leather couches, leading into a separate space containing edibles, tinctures, hash, joints and medical pain relievers. Look for unique, clone-only strains that nobody else carries, says one employee.

Doctors Orders

Doctors Orders offers glassware, stash boxes, $10 grams of bubble hash on Wednesdays, and a variety of edibles. Member pricing includes $35 eighths, $65 quarters and $225 ounces, not to mention a free weekly joint of choice. First-time patients get member pricing for that visit.

Eagle's Nest Wellness Center

Eagle's Nest Wellness Center, located in the old Swiss Miss building, offers holistic and naturopathic medicines, and nature walks. There's also a dispensary, which the religion of Ho'ala Huna considers a natural offshoot of its practice.

Enlightened Care

Behind the Wendy's lies Enlightened Care, which one employee describes as a "café-style" center, with a coffee bar, waiting room and a showcase of different medications. Additionally, look for what the center describes as one of the city's largest selections of edibles, tinctures, bubble hash, keef and oils.

Epic Medical Caregivers

Epic Medical Caregiver supplies hash extracted from all-natural keef with a 2-ton press. It also offers hard candies, Benjamin's Edibles, vanilla wafers and rice-marshmallow treats. Daily specials are available for members and non-members alike, while veterans and seniors receive a 5-percent discount.

FRAM

The center offers hash, tinctures, edibles and Colorado-grown medication. Lastly, according to one employee, find the "cheapest bongs and glass pipes in town."

Green Earth Wellness Center

Green Earth folks say they specialize in higher-end medicines and edibles, and carry all flavors of Dixie Elixirs & Edibles. You'll also find a full line of rubs, tinctures and related items in a space with an art-gallery feel.

The Green House

Owner Isaac Mavashev says the center has some of the cheapest pipes in town, as well as hash, a wide range of edibles like Gaia's Garden and Cheeba Chews, and more.

Green Love Wellness

Green Love offers edibles and pipes, as well as recently lowered prices on the medication itself. Specials include a free joint with every purchase, as well as a deal where new members receive 20 percent off, and a $15 quarter-ounce.

Green Pharm

Co-owner Gary Beierle says, "Though we are in a hard-to-find location, it's well worth it." As proof, grams of medication start at $7.50, eighths at $24, and ounces at $165 (though members may find ounces as low as $139.50). Also find hash products, accessories, various infused products and more. "We're trying to be fair with people," says Beierle, adding: "We run a clean, professional dispensary. That's our main thing."

GrowLife

Grow Life prefers to run a 50-50 split between indica and sativa strains, and employees say both are 100 percent organic and soil-based (as opposed to hydroponically grown). It also sports exclusive growers so that each strain is unique to the center. Look for a sliding-scale payment system based on the amount of medication purchased. Also, all eighths are less than $40 with caregiver designation, new patients benefit from a free edible, and further member discounts are available. Grow Life also dedicates a wall to an artist of the month.

Happy Buddha Wellness

Owned by Terry Cullen, Happy Buddha Wellness offers a pleasant atmosphere and a private location, next to offices for a dentist and massage therapist. Look for $25 eighths and $185 ounces on all strains, for members.

Hatch Wellness Center

Dr. Eric Hatch first opened a location in Highlands Ranch; he's since opened a Colorado Springs location near Peterson Air Force Base and closed the other. The good doctor says patients should expect $25 eighths in a professional and comfortable environment.

Hawaiian Herbal Health Center

Manager Kiliki says the center offers "a warm tropical feeling and plenty of 'aloha,' along with being discreet." Located down the road from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, the dispensary offers tinctures, hash, balms, "lots of delicious and potent elixirs," teas and other edibles. Also find medicated spa products and Hawaiian souvenirs.

The Healing Canna

Once you make it through its discreet, no-sign entrance, The Healing Canna offers a large, well-lit waiting area for patients. Also find punch cards that offer a free eighth after 12 are purchased, as well as daily updates on its website.

Healthpoint Wellness Center

Owner Brandon Mackey's Healthpoint (formerly FLOOBIES) is located in a medical building, providing, as one employee says, "a professional feel that makes people feel comfortable." Look for strains like Aphrodite, God's Gift and Lavender Kush. All edibles are $6.

The Healthy Connections

The Healthy Connections offers 10 to 20 strains, including White Bubba Kush, White Fire OG Kush, Dead Head, Jamaican Chemdawg and Grape Fruit Hash. As well, find vaporizers, related smoking accessories and a punch-card promotion, where your eighth eighth-of-an-ounce is free.

Heavenly Medical Caregivers

Discounts abound at Heavenly Medical Caregivers: Members get penny-joints on Tuesdays and Fridays, while Saturdays and Sundays bring $32 any-strain eighths ($28 for members). Also grab any two ounces for $380 every day.

H.E.M.P.

Higher Elevation Medical Products calls a location behind Fargo's Pizza Co. home. Members and non-members alike enjoy low prices, such as no eighth over $35, which drops to $25 on select days. Also find two-for-one Thursdays.

The Hemp Center

Besides the Old Colorado City location, co-owner Jim Van Diest also operates a center in Littleton. Members receive a free gram and joint after signing up, 5-gram eighths thereafter, and a free eighth on their birthday. "We have an RN on staff and an herbalist," says Van Diest, adding: "We make our own salves, lotions, candy, edibles and tinctures."

The Herb Shoppe

Owned by husband-and-wife team Ashley and Kasey Knutson, THS offers $25 eighths on select strains to all patients, as well as free yoga and 10-percent off edibles to members. Also find clones, hash, hash oil and bubble hash.

Indispensary

Sister to Independent Records, Indispensary combines over 30 years of customer service experience with a high-altitude, all-organic cultivation facility.

JP Wellness

JP offers a collection of glass, for which patients get 50 percent off, as well as deals on edibles. Other perks: Patients receive a $10 credit for every $150 spent on a product, and a free eighth after buying nine.

Levity Wellness

Levity is all about the discounts: Free joints on Mondays and Fridays with any purchase of an eighth for nonmembers (Monday through Friday for members); Facebook and text-message discounts; 20 percent off on your first visit; 10 percent off for military, the elderly and those with disabilities; and 20 percent off permanently, once Levity is named your caregiver (vaporizers not included).

Maggie's Farm

Owner Bill Conkling says his center offers a full line of hybrid indica-sativa strains, as well as a variety of edibles. "My focus on this thing is meds," Conkling says. "We're trying to be straight-up and simple." To that end, the grower offers 100-percent organic strains like Cold Creek Kush.

Marimeds

The self-proclaimed home of the famous Blue Cheese, Marimeds offers quality strains and edibles. New specials include: Spend $100 and get a free edible, as well as ounces for $215.

Marisol Therapeutics

Described by one employee as "more of a straight dispensary," as opposed to one offering other services, Marisol offers an extensive line of edibles and topicals. It also its Knee High Grape strain, described as "more of an indica."

Medical Cannabis Caregivers

MC Caregivers offers cannabis, accessories, a wide range of edibles, and topical lotions and oils. Ownership resides in a dual partnership between Shane and Scott (last names withheld).

Mile High Holistics

In an environment that co-owner Susie Breward calls "a groovy, little upscale spot," Mile High Holistics offers medication, as well as a large selection of edibles, balms and accessories. As for specials, Mile High runs a different special every day of the week.

Mountain High Medical Caregivers

On the corner of North Nevada Avenue and Garden of the Gods Road, Mountain High Medical strives to be open, inviting and upscale while specializing in top-shelf meds. It also stocks an extensive lineup of edibles. Member patients get their first purchase half-off, and a flat 20-percent discount on all products thereafter.

Mountain Med Club

Off West Colorado Avenue lies Mountain Med Club, where you can find edibles, natural rolling papers, storage containers and hand-blown glass pipes. "We're really discreet and we don't have a sign; we're right off the edge of the 'green mile,'" says co-owner Dan (last name withheld).

Mountain Medicals

"We're kind of a unique mom-and-son team," says co-owner Vanessa Haakenson. "I've had several family members with cancer, so that's why we got involved." The center takes a holistic approach to healing, and offers discounts to those who designate it as their center, where they grow organic marijuana in soil. Look for a large variety of edibles, as well as classes on how to make cannabutter and tinctures.

Natural Advantage Medical Marijuana Center

Natural Advantage offers edibles, in addition to in-house chiropractic care, information on natural herbal medicine, lifestyle and pain counseling, and doctor referrals. Members get 10 percent off of most products, and can purchase ounces of medication at wholesale prices.

Natural Mystic Cannabis Caregivers

Locally owned Natural Mystic offers a discreet downtown location with roughly 30 top-shelf strains, as well as a variety of edibles. More than 10 years of working with medical marijuana patients ensures that Mystic knows what it's doing in the realm of patient care, says an unidentified owner.

Natural Remedies MMJ

One employee says Natural Remedies offers daily specials for members; tinctures, plant seeds and various pipes; and edibles like rice treats, cookies and candies. Prices for eighths run $25 to $45.

NaturaLeaf

"We offer natural relief in the form of medical cannabis," says one employee. To that end, look for literature on a variety of health issues and $5 grams. Otherwise enjoy keef and hash made in-house, as well as tinctures, balms, salves and edibles.

Nature's Way Wellness Center

Both members and nonmembers can get specials for eighths as low as $25, specials on ounces at $180. You can also find edibles as well as vitamins, hash, pipes and joints.

Original Cannabis Growers

OCG offers $23.88 eighths, $7.15 "grade A" grams, and $200 ounces, says owner Paul Elias. Keef and infused products are also available. "We're a simple center, but we keep it real," says Elias.

Pikes Peak Alternative Health & Wellness

Pikes Peak specializes in treating hospice and cancer patients as well as those with disabilities. There are also grow classes, and patients can purchase clones and growing supplies. Only raw materials — like extracted oils and cannabutter — go into the center's infused products. An escort from the building to a patient's vehicle is available upon request.

Pikes Peak Cannabis Caregivers

In addition to top-shelf medical marijuana, Pikes Peak Cannabis Caregivers offers a wide array of edibles, infused products and smoking accessories. First-time customers who buy an eighth get a pipe and lighter free; so do customers who refer a friend.

Pikes Peak Natural Wonders

PPNW has introduced new prices with eighths starting at $20, while continuing to test each hydroponically grown strain. Look for bubble and earwax hash, Caviar, hash oil and various edibles.

Pure Intentions Wellness Center

At any time, patients receive $3 edibles from the center's selection. Also find earwax hash for $35 per gram. Bud grams start at $5, with members receiving pricing starting at $17.50 to $38.50 per eighth.

Pure Medical

In addition to a broad array of Colorado-grown strains, Pure Medical carries edibles, tinctures, keef, hash, hash pills, pipes and vaporizers.

Rocky Mountain Herbal Health Center

RMHHC offers a full lineup of edibles, including sugar-free and gluten-free items. Besides the $32 eighths, members enjoy $9 grams, 10 percent off purchases, and a free gram on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Rocky Mountain Miracles

"We've got great prices," says owner Ali Hillery. "For our members, all new members get a free eighth." Members also enjoy $199 ounces, two ounces for $350, $35 4-gram eighths, a selection of edibles and new strains released biweekly.

The Secret Stash Progressive Medicine

This family-owned dispensary grows all its own medicine. For newcomers, the Secret Stash membership package includes 50 percent off the first purchase for amounts not exceeding a quarter-ounce of weed. "We're in a discreet location, with plenty of parking," notes co-owner Alex (last name withheld).

SibannaC

Owner Jim (last name withheld) says the center offers drinks, and a variety of edibles. Discount-wise, members receive $25 eighths all the time, and a free eighth for a dollar once a month.

Simple Care Wellness Center

Simple Care Wellness Center "focuses on the medication," says owner Keith Northwood. While it does carry pipes, bath products and the traditional edibles, the center is dedicated to patients and their specific medicinal needs, stocking "a variety of strains for anyone and everyone who needs them," 90-percent of which are grown on-site. Price-wise, eighths start at $18; grams at $5.

Southern Colorado Medical Marijuana

Co-owner Don McKay says other dispensary owners shop at his 10,000-square-foot center. As far as what to get? "G13's pretty good. S.A.G.E., people love. Plus we got a whole bunch of new European stuff coming in," he says. Note: SoCoMMJ only offers prepackaged bulk, with half-ounces running in the $99 range — no grams or eighths.

S.S.I. Care Center

As far as freebies, customers receive free pre-rolled joints with any purchase of an eighth or more. Also look for a variety of edibles.

Strawberry Fields Alternative Health and Wellness

In an e-mail, co-owner Mike writes, "Every member of our team has fully committed to our goal to set the bar on compliance, professionalism and industry knowledge while offering an asinine amount of strains." To that end, look for specialized member pricing on the center's "100 percent organic" medication, as well as edibles. Note: Strawberry Fields won last year's Indy readers' pick for best center in Colorado Springs.

Third Day Apothecary

Third Day Apothecary is located on the northeast corner of Flintridge Drive and North Academy Boulevard. The center says all strains are grown in-house, in soil.

Todays Health Care

As extra incentive for patients who buy more than an eighth, THC offers a monthly raffle at each location for a free ounce. On the serious side, the dispensary offers free rides to medical appointments for terminal cancer patients, even if they're not the center's own patients. Look for happy hours from 2 to 3 on weekdays, when everyone gets 10 percent off.

Total Health Concepts

Total Health Concepts offers edibles, as well as a large supply of non-smokables. Free gated parking is available, plus a collection of original hand-blown Colorado glass.

Tree of Wellness

Tree of Wellness promises a comprehensive medicinal array of edibles and infused products. The center also sells pipes, and 10 different kinds of hash, plus hash oils.

Trichome Health Consultants

The center, which opened in late 2008, specializes in high-grade clones, and carries a large selection of edibles, infused products and topicals.

We Grow Colorado

We Grow Colorado, which also serves local vets, sells edibles, glassware, vaporizers, lotions and rubs. Recently, the center changed its policy back to serving both members and non-members.

Westside Wellness Center

The family-owned center welcomes patients who need recommendations and help setting up doctor visits. It offers a 15-percent discount for veterans, plus pipes, vaporizers, edibles from Edi-Pure, tinctures and lotions, as well as the center's Kali Mist strain.

White Mountain Medicine

Owned by Denver's Beyond Broadway, White Mountain carries infused products from BB, Benjamin's Edibles and more, as well as accessories like pipes, bongs and vaporizers. Grab the Phoenix Tears Hemp Oil, as well as the center's earwax hash.
