A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 12.10

Harley, a seven-month-old bluetick hound, was brought into the Humane Society as a stray with a broken hind leg. The break was clean, indicating something other than a car caused the damage. The kind folks at Colorado Springs All-Breed Rescue took the pup in just before he was due to be euthanized and will take care of him until they find him a caring home. In the meantime though, Harley needs surgery that will cost $1,200, and the non-profit organization doesn't have that kind of cash.
