It's been 32 years since civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was shot down in a Memphis motel. While we celebrate his birthday once a year, his influence can be seen every day in our communities, entertainment, conversation and children's minds. His words and dream still ring true, as seen at Let Freedom Ring, a showcase of 100 years of African American history in America through art, dance, music, poetry and drama. The program is presented by Ohoho. Admission is free, and the festivities begin at 7 p.m. at the Tutmose Academy, 1205 Shasta Drive. Call Glen at 271-0415 or Jainy at 520-1472 for info.[p]
